We are the 99%
Many of New York City’s religious leaders joined the Occupy Wall Street Protesters in solidarity on October 10, 2011. We were honored to speak with Aiyub Abdul Baki, the chairman of the justice committee of the Islamic Leadership Council. He shared why he supports the 99% movement and what brought him down to Zuccotti Park/Freedom Plaza to participate in the occupation.
Spiritualution—Justice to the People! is a global, spiritual-activist movement that began in 1996. Gabriel of Urantia coined the term Spiritualution which has come to define the movement as active dissent against evil. It is characterized by acts of civil disobedience such as speaking out against injustices and going on strike against corporate greed. Spiritualution is not the raising of arms, but the raising of people’s consciousness. It is a call to the people of the world to stop working for greedy corporations and to quit their ‘wrong-jobs’ that don’t serve humanity. These jobs include working for greedy banks, mega-corporations, the oil industry, and facilities that deal with nuclear power and weapons.
The 99% and Occupy Wall Street Movements are the Spiritualution movement in its beginning stages. Help the Spiritualution become the Global Spiritual Revolution that it is destined to become. Learn more at http://spiritualution.org/
